BRIEF SUMMARY
This webinar will explore the expanding roles of the clinical exercise physiologist in the pediatric inpatient setting including discussion of specific exercise testing and prescription utilized. It will further explain the different patient types eligible for inpatient exercise training, different programs available in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and finally, opportunities in the field of pediatrics. Inpatient clinical exercise physiology should expand beyond phase 1 cardiac rehabilitation and involve all aspects of clinical exercise physiology, including testing, nutrition, physical and occupational therapy continuance, medication and disease specific education.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Chelsea White is currently practicing as a pediatric clinical exercise physiologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. She has been in the field working with both adult and pediatric populations for 12 years, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, exercise testing, and cardiac rehabilitatoin.
Chelsea is married with 2 kids, and achieved her Masters degree a little over 2 years ago shortly after having her 2nd child. She began tutoring in the field via LessonPal and has worked closely with her director to help change pay rates and provide a clinical ladder for clinical exercise physiologists in her facility. Chelsea began two new programs and is working on beginning a third within their outpatient department. She thoroughly loves every aspect of clinical exercise physiology and the implementation of each piece on a daily basis.
