Membership Growth and Representation

  • Grow membership of ACSM-CEPs and other exercise professionals working in clinical settings (10% growth each year)
    • Identify effective recruitment strategies
    • Improve member retention

Financial Infrastructure and Strength

  • Improve financial infrastructure to increase strength and longer-term sustainability
    • Develop a financial system to improve oversight and financial accountability over accounts payable and receivable
    • Identify and pursue strategies/opportunities to grow new revenue streams
    • Continue to grow CEPA’s net worth and build strategic reserves.

Professional Development and Advancement

  • Advocate for increased opportunities and recognition for clinical exercise physiologists
    • Promote standardized and accredited education requirements for clinical exercise physiology
    • Promote standardized job titles and descriptions
    • Develop and publish a scope of practice for clinical exercise physiologists
    • Advance policy and reimbursement efforts
    • Identify and pursue partnerships with national and international organizations and coalitions that align with clinical exercise physiology advocacy efforts

Organizational Infrastructure and Support

  • Improve administrative infrastructure and support mechanisms
    • Implement a revised governance structure
    • Grow administrative positions
    • Establish a Board of Advisors

Contribution and Influence

  • Increase CEPA’s tangible contributions to the practice and study of clinical exercise physiology
    • Create content that enhances the skillset of clinical exercise physiologists and other allied healthcare professionals
    • Create Document Oversight Committee to review applications for official CEPA pronouncements
