WHAT: CEPA originates as an affiliate society of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). As an affiliate society, CEPA is autonomous, but operates with administrative support from ACSM.

Message from the President
Welcome to the website of the new Clinical Exercise Physiology Association (CEPA)! Over the last year, a group of dedicated clinical exercise physiologists have been donating their time to launch a professional organization for clinical exercise physiologists, as the first affiliate society of ACSM.
Last summer, we surveyed ACSM certified professionals to assess potential interest in an affiliate society. Six hundred people responded to the survey, the majority expressing interest in supporting such an endeavor. Respondents gave high ratings of interest to legislative and advocacy efforts, as well as continuing education. We hope for your support and involvement in CEPA as we work to bring these elements to fruition.
I invite you to join us as we develop each of the important functions of this organization. The action of membership shows your support for the current effort and for the promise of a robust future. I also invite you to become more involved in our effort. We need ideas, energy, and vision to create an organization that will advance our profession as we serve to provide optimal care for our patients. There is a section on the membership application where you can specify whether and how you might like to become involved.
